Biomedical informatics for optimized treatment of infectious diseases"
The workshop, held in Helsinki on 22 November 2006 within IST 2006, has been very successful both under the attendance point of view (more than 40 persons participated) and under the scientific point of view:starting from a panoramic of the complexity inherent with infectious diseases modelling due to the enormous number of variables (particular reference was made to HIV) some specific approaches have been examined. Questions and suggestions from the public, as well as a short presentation out of program, made the session vey interactive and scientifically meaningful.
